X-47B无人机在航母上活动时,由两名遥控驾驶员控制。其中一人是主驾驶员,通过一个游戏机式的手柄控制无人机停止、前进或者折叠机翼。而他的决定来自于甲板人员发出的各种信号,就好像他驾驶普通舰载机时那样。
另一名驾驶员是主驾驶员的后备替补。在X-47B的试验中,两人都是诺格公司的试飞员。
There are two remote control pilots onboard aircraft carrier while X-47B was doing sea trial. One is primary controller, he send commands to X-47B using a game-controller-like remote to make it stop, move or fold/unfold wings, based on deck crew’s signals, just like he controls a usual aircraft onboard.
The other guy is primary’s backup. They are both Northrop’s test pilots in this case.
